While this weekend promises to be nice, the forecast for Mardi Gras day is not that great. As of right now, there is a 60% chance of rain during the day on Fat Tuesday, so there will be a change in the parade line-up.
Though it is not a written law ... the city of St. Martinville has banned "rap music with vulgar lyrics" from it's Mardi Gras parade. This has upset the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana.
Never let it be said that Sulphur waits until the last minute. The City of Sulphur has scheduled their Mardi Gras parade for February 7th.
