Memorial Day

This is, quite simply a song about those people and sacrifices and it's a great reminder of those brave people and the ultimate price they all paid for us.

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 30, 2016. There will be no trash or garbage collection on that day.

As we head into a very important three-day weekend, keep in mind that many public offices will be closed to observe the day and services, in some cases, will also be altered. Everyone looks forward to a three-day weekend, but, while we're enjoying this extra day off, let's all remember why Monday is a holiday. Let's keep in mind all the brave men and women who, not only served our country, but lost their lives in the process of serving it. In honor of the Memorial Day Holiday the city services schedule has changed for next week. Don't bring a bunch of crab shells to the curb Sunday evening and expect the garbage men to pick them up Monday.
