Hurricane Sally passed through the Gulf Coast this week and did quite a bit of damage to the area, including parts of the 3 Mile Bridge in Pensacola, FL. The bridge, part of Highway 98, spans Pensacola Bay, connecting Pensacola to Gulf Breeze, Florida.

The center of the storm should pass just to the west of Pensacola during the day today.

The forecast track for Hurricane Sally has shifted away from southeastern Louisiana and New Orleans.

The National Hurricane Center has just reported Sally is now a hurricane with 85 mph winds as it churns in the Gulf of Mexico headed towards the Mississippi coast.
