Things would go bump in the night, strange voices could be heard in the hallways and locked doors would suddenly be standing wide open. I don't believe in haunted houses, but I sure lived in one.
Halloween. The word makes me think of the guy in the mask and bloody, gory, badly-done 80s thrillers. And instantly, I'm shivering! Give me a spider or a creepy-crawly (one at a time, please), and I am just fine...
Back in 1968, my family moved to Lake Charles. We moved into the nice, sunny house in the picture and got settled in.
After the first night in the house, my mom asked me, 'What was that weird music you were listening to last night'? I told her that I didn't listen to any kind of music at all. Yet she did hear some weird music. A few months later, I heard it, too.
And that was just the beginning.
We all know that a great haunted house has to be done in an old building. That's what makes the Central School building perfect.The ghost arrive on October 26th.
