According to his official website, former Grand Funk Railroad guitarist and vocalist Mark Farner is recovering from surgery. Farner, age 64, had a pacemaker put in earlier this week and is now back home resting.
In a recent interview, Mark Farner, one-time leader of Grand Funk Railroad, talked about the legacy of the mighty band. “We were a bunch of 20-year-old rock and rollers who were putting our thoughts out there and looking for answers, and so were our fans.” he said. ” We were saying what everybody wanted to say.”

This guy and his band were eaten alive by the critics...Nobody liked them except the record buying public and they sold albums by the millions! Our "After They Were Stars" guy today played guitar and sang ...Who is he?
