There seems to be a trend these days of parents pushing their kids toward adulthood a lot faster than they used to, and I don’t like it. Here’s why.

I never knew what a charmed childhood I had until I got older and heard about others who did not have the same. My parents were always there for us like we were there for each other. I also learned not all dads were like mine.

We all grew up differently. The older I get the more I realize what a charmed child hood I had. We did not have much money but we never knew it because we had such great parents. I was blessed to have mom and dad there my entire childhood and to this day. Today I want to talk about my dad and how he shaped me.

My father never would have made it as a teacher, but it's probably not his fault. His son wasn’t a very good student.

So Sunday is Father's Day. I am a dad so I feel I can speak with authority about what dad does and does not want for Father's day. It might surprise you.
