The 2014 Oscars, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, started off with a bang. The comedienne, who previously hosted seven years ago, took the stage and immediately made it her own. Like any host worth her salt, she took the material given to her and blended it with her own specific persona, giving the telecast a gentle and amusing start.

A 22 year-old waitress did a wonderful thing with absolutely no expectations of being paid back much less handsomely rewarded.

I'll give you a hint: It's not Snooki, Miley or Britney. I'll give you another hint: It's someone that is actually talented and respects her fans.

We're still a little apprehensive after all of yesterday's April Fool's shenanigans, so we didn't believe this was real at first. It does seem as though Pixar really will be making a sequel to 'Finding Nemo,' called 'Finding Dory.'

Ellen DeGeneres is always doing her part to brighten spirits. Fortunately this sometimes comes at the expense of a famous person's dignity.
