Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Gets More Funding For Traffic Stops
A recent press release states The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has received$153,155 in grant funding from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission to conduct additional traffic safety enforcement activities. This funding is for DUI safety checkpoints and other driver safety enforcement.
Weekend DWI Checkpoint Results
While we were all celebrating the beginning of a long weekend. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were trying to keep our roads safe with a DWI and Seatbelt checkpoint on the 1300 block of Country Club Road. Impaired drivers were removed from our roads and others were deterred from such behavior in the future.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Department is serious about "Click it or Ticket". The office has given fair warning to all motorist that Seatbelt Checkpoints will be up and open for business this Friday (27th)
