Burton Coliseum

The Burton coliseum needed some work. Let's face it ... it needed a lot of work. It is the home of the Cowboys and as such it should be something to be proud of. Work continues in that direction and we have video.

I have been to many McNeese Basketball games and have always had a great time. My question is why are the crowds so small?

The ceremony is set for 10 am this Saturday at the Burton Coliseum. The Fall Class of 2012 is very diverse with students from as far away as Bolivia, Ireland and Nepal receiving degrees. 132 masters degrees will be awarded!

When you attend "Art on Wheels" Saturday at Burton Coliseum, do not expect to see the ordinary. When these folks say, "art", they are making an understatement. It's amazing work of the highest caliber and the event is very family friendly. Here's more:

If Joshua Ledet survives this round of elimination tonight on American Idol, the Lake Area will explode into full Josh Mode. And it will start with free tickets to his 6 p.m. Saturday show at Burton Coliseum.  Tickets will be available starting at 8 p.m. tonight.

As we reported yesterday, there’s a better-than-even chance that ‘American Idol‘ star Joshua Ledet will be returning to town on Saturday like the conquering hero he’s become.  First, he’s here in our studios, then a parade, then a live performance at Burton Coliseum.

Can you believe that the Burton Coliseum is 35 years old already? Well it is, and now its time for it to get an update. The Burton is home to festivals, McNeese Basketball games, rodeos, graduations and many other events, so it probably is time to get the facility a new look.
