Just a few days after Bob Seger unveiled the first song from his upcoming album, the legendary rocker has announced the release date for the record.

Seventies-era folk rock icon Gordon Lightfoot and Detroit rocker Bob Seger have been selected for induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at a ceremony that will take place on June 14 in New York City.

Bob Seger has announced plans to release a new studio album, and to support that record with a tour. “I will write from January 1 through March 31. I will finish the next record and right now, yes, I will tour with the next record,” Seger tells Ultimate Classic Rock.
