Pigskin Preview Coming to 92.9 The Lake This Football Season

Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - The wait is over for high school football fans in Southwest Louisiana. This fall, the premier ALL-SWLA High School Football show is set to hit the airwaves!

Over the last few years, 92.9 The Lake has become Southwest Louisiana's #1 destination for High School Sports coverage, and now the coverage is set to get even better.

A few years ago, we noticed that Southwest Louisiana was truly lacking coverage of our local High School Football teams, so we decided to create our SWLA Game of the Week, where each week we travel to a different school across the area and broadcast the best matchup in the area for that week.

This upcoming season will be Year #3 for the SWLA Game of the Week, so now we are taking the leap of faith and bringing to the airwaves an ALL-SWLA High School Football Show that will cover teams all around the surrounding coverage area.

The Pigskin Preview was originally hosted by Mike Soileau years ago on Cajun Radio before Patrick Frey took over the reins to talk ball. After a few-year hiatus, we are bringing back a new and improved version of Pigskin Preview! This revamped version of the show will be hosted by Chaston Tavares and Patrick Frey and will feature tons of high school football talk, as well as coaches' weekly interviews with coaches from around the SWLA area.

The show will air Wednesday Nights beginning September 3rd and will air on 92.9 The Lake, on 92.9 The Lake's Facebook Page, and broadcast live on Chaston Tavares Sports on Facebook.
