LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: Sports Illustrated High School just released their top 10 football recruiting prospects from Louisiana and a player right here in SWLA made the list. We have all the details.

SWLA loves their football and this area of Louisiana has produced many great college and professional football players.  Well, add a new player to that list who also has a great football pedigree to boot.

John David Lafleur, Sulphur High TE, has a very recognizable last name here in SWLA. His dad, David LaFleur, played TE at Westlake High, LSU, and he was a first-round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys.

JD is a 6-foot-6 and 220 pound three-star recruit. He's the #15 tight end in the nation and the #13 prospect in Louisiana according to 247 Sports.

LaFleur had other offers from Florida, Miami, Texas, and Texas Tech, but chose to follow in his father's footsteps and stay in state and play Saturday nights in Death Valley.

He committed to LSU in August of last year:
