The National Weather Service posted on Facebook that "dangerous cold expected" tonight in South Texas. Please take these warnings serious and protect your people, pets, pipes, and plants.

In fact, they are calling this the "Barney Blast" cold front because of how it makes the map of the USA look:

  • This Afternoon: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 45. Wind chill values between 15 and 25 early. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Thursday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 31. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
  • Friday: Cloudy, with a high near 41. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
