I received a call last week from Captain Mark Lewis of the Iowa Fire department about a Sleeves Up vaccination event they were having. We got the information out, and a few days later, I received a call of gratitude. They exceeded the amount of people they were expecting. They are also preparing to do it again.

If you missed out on their first Sleeves Up vaccination event, they will be having another one on Tuesday, April 13. at the Iowa City Park at 115 North Thompson Avenue. There are no appointments needed. You just need to show up between 9:00am - 2:00pm. Don't forget, the COVID-19 vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your family members.

If you are on the fence, do your research, talk to your family physician, or call the Louisiana Department of Health's vaccine hotline. There are no questions they should refuse to answer. Hopefully, you'll get the answers you want and need. At the end of the day, we are all trying to see this dreadful disease leave and never return.
