Six Louisiana Young People Arrested With Over 100 Stolen Guns
Six people ranging in age from 15-20 have been arrested in Many Louisiana for possession of over 100 stolen guns.
137 guns were recovered after they were stolen from 3 different gun safes in a home in Sabine Parish. Loads of ammunition and magazines were also stolen from these safes.
The Sabine Parish Sheriff is warning people around the area that if you got a good deal on a gun in the last few weeks, there is a possibility that it is stolen property.
This is still under investigation, and more arrests are expected to follow.
The following people were taken in for the theft of the guns:
Camron Lee Barmore (age-18) of Pleasant Hill was arrested and initially charged with
• Illegal possession of stolen firearms.
His bond was set at $250,000 by the 11th Judicial District Court.
Barmore was later booked for
• Simple burglary
• Theft $5000-$25,000
• 137-counts of Theft of a firearm
• Illegal possession of stolen firearms
• Simple criminal damage to property $1000-$50,000.
Bond is pending for these charges. He is still in jail.
Ray Lee Scott Jr (age-20) of Mansfield was arrested and charged with
• Theft > $25,000
• Theft of a motor vehicle
• 137-counts of Theft of a firearm
• 3-counts of Illegal possession of stolen firearms
• Simple criminal damage to property $1000-$50,000.
No bond by the 11th Judicial District Court. He is still in jail.
Quantavious Qwinshawn McCray (age-20) of Pleasant Hill was charged with
• Illegal possession of stolen things < $1000 (misdemeanor).
He was released.
15 & 16-year-old juvenile brothers from Zwolle and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Many were each charged with
• Simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling
• Theft of a motor vehicle
• Theft of a firearm
• Simple criminal damage to property $1000-$50,000.Both are incarcerated at the Ware Youth Center in Coushatta pending a later court date by the 11th Judicial District Court.
Chief Deputy Brad Walker commends Sabine Parish Sheriff Detectives for their hard work, long hours, and persistence over the last week and a half in this case. Sabine CID Digital Forensics Unit has obtained search warrants for digital devices and third-party applications and is processing the data. Sabine Parish Sheriff Special Operations Group (S.O.G.) was instrumental in the execution of several searches in the parish.
Chief Deputy Walker also thanks local agencies for their help, especially Bossier Parish Sheriff Detectives for traveling to Coushatta to obtain vehicle forensic information from the victim’s vehicle.
This investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests and search warrants are forthcoming. Several firearms, numerous ammunition, magazines, illegal narcotics and other items have been recovered so far.
