Six Louisiana Conn’s HomePlus Locations Are Closing After Bankruptcy

LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: Conn's HomePlus has been in business for over 134 years and has no filed for bankruptcy. We have all the details on which store locations in Louisiana will be closing.

The company has over 170 locations around nationwide and CNN is reporting that almost half of those stores will be closed.

However, more job losses and store closures could be around the corner as the company moves on with bankruptcy.  A company official told CNN that the company "continues to have ongoing discussions with potential buyers to sell all or parts of the business and preserve jobs.”

USA Today is reporting that Conn's lost over $77 million last year. Because of this downturn in business, the company has decided to declare Chapter 11 bankruptcy and close 70 of its stores in 13 states.
