Conrad Murray Prison M.D. !

Dr. Conrad Murray has been sentenced to four years behind bars for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. In handing down the maximum sentence, Judge Michael Pastor denounced Murray as a reckless physician whose actions were a “disgrace to the medical profession.” Pastor repeatedly chastised the cardiologist for what he called a “horrific violation of trust” while caring for Jackson. Pastor also said Murray has “absolutely no sense of fault, and is and remains dangerous” to the community. The judge said one of the most disturbing aspects of Murray’s case was a slurred recording of Jackson recovered from the doctor’s cell phone. “That tape recording was Dr. Murray’s insurance policy,” Pastor said. “It was designed to record his patient surreptitiously at that patient’s most vulnerable point.” The judge said his sentence was constrained by a recent change in California law that requires Murray to serve his sentence in county jail rather than state prison. Sheriff’s officials later said Murray will serve a little less than two years behind bars while housed in a one-man cell and kept away from other prisoners.

Elvis Costello Tells Fans Not To Buy His Pricey New Release!

Elvis Costello is apparently so bitter at the pricing of his upcoming box set that he’s telling fans not to buy it and to spend their money on Louis Armstrong’s special set, “Ambassador Of Jazz,” instead. A post on his official site calls the price of “The Return Of The Spectacular Spinning Songbook” “either a misprint or satire.” The set, which costs $202.64, includes a CD, DVD, vinyl record, 40-page hardcover tribute book and a card autographed by Costello. The release is a limited edition with 1,500 copies in circulation. In the post, Costello calls the set “beautifully designed” but too expensive to warrant his fans’ money. He says his attempts to coax his label to lower the price were “fruitless.” Calling his box set “an elaborate hoax,” he advises fans to wait until next year, when the components that make up the package will go on sale separately.

George Harrison’s Sister Plans Tell-All Book
Beatles legend George Harrison’s sister Louise has revealed she is writing a book about the guitarist and his famous bandmates. Louise Harrison, the older sister of the late Beatles guitarist, says she wants to tell the real story about her brother, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr because she believes it is her “duty to get the truth out.” She says, “So much garbage has been written about George and the Beatles. Half of the stuff has been written by people who spent maybe an hour on a plane with the Beatles. Now I think it’s my duty to get the truth out.” Louise plans to include never before seen photographs in the book, which will be out in 2012 or 2013.
