A woman who has been missing since 2017 has been identified from her remains found in Cameron Parish.

Sally Ann Hines, of San Antonio, was declared missing in December of 2017. The 58-year-old woman had vanished from her home, and friends and relatives couldn't contact her or find her whereabouts.

Hines' severed head was found alongside HWY 27 in Cameron Parish in March of 2018. Investigators searched for clues to help solve the case but kept meeting dead ends. They had a composite image made from the severed head by LSU’s faces lab and placed that image on a missing persons poster.

An anonymous tipster saw the poster on the internet and found the composite imagine looked a lot like Hines. The tipster alerted authorities and the case was finally solved. Now, more questions than answers are left.
