We've seen the images of Texas being blasted this morning by the storm front moving closer to Southwest Louisiana, but what does Meteorologist Zack Fradella have to say about it?

This morning, Zack posted this on his Facebook page:

Most of South LA is in a marginal risk for a severe storm or two this afternoon/evening. Like the previous storm, the energy is staying mostly to our north.

So that's great news that should put most at ease, seeing that all weekend we've heard how this storm was going to be a beast (which it is) and rip through SWLA.

A co-worker this morning told me that they have clocked wind gusts as high as 78mph at the airport in Dallas, TX. This storm is no joke. If you have family or friends in northern Louisiana or any other state in its path, reach out and make sure they are prepared.
