Saints Celebrate Gleason Gras [VIDEO]

Everybody remembers the biggest Saints Vs Falcons game ever. The Saints returning to the Super Dome after Hurricane Katrina. It is the first game back and on a nationally televised Monday night game they face the Falcons. It was a night that Steve Gleason will never forget and nor will Saints fans.

It was a Monday night in 2006 and Saints fans were going crazy after Steve Gleason blocked and Atlanta punt on a night when the Saints could have beaten anybody. In 2011 Gleason announced he was suffering from Lou Gehrig's Disease.  He then started the Gleason Foundation to raise awareness of ALS.

According to neworleanssaints.com  Gleason Gras is an annual musical celebration that started in 2010 with local performers and food from local restaurants. The event is free to everyone and happens before the game this Sunday in Champions Square. Gleason will be joined by a number of Saints coaches and players.
