
‘Red, White, Blue & You’ Festival And Fireworks Extravaganza In Lake Charles, Louisiana July 4th
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - The City of Lake Charles announces the return of its annual Red, White, Blue & You Celebration on Friday on July 4.

There are activities for all ages throughout the day at this free, family-friendly festival. For a patriotic performance, Armed Forces Salute, food trucks, live music, and a lakeside fireworks show, pack the Arcade Amphitheater with lawn chairs and blankets.

Games2Life will provide games and activities at North Beach throughout the day as part of the event. The day will begin at the Arcade Amphitheater with a Hot Dog Cook Off at 3:30 p.m., followed by Dani Lacour's complete band at 4:30 p.m., a patriotic presentation and performance by the Lake Charles Community Band at 6:15 p.m., and a concert by L.A. ROXX from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

But that's not all! See a patriotic glow show at the First Federal Bank of Louisiana at 9:00 p.m., followed by an incredible fireworks show over the lake at 9:15 p.m.

Some of the most popular food trucks, lemonade stands, and ice cream trucks in Lake Charles are available to festival attendees. Competitive Olympic-style games will be held in Millennium Park by the City of Lake Charles' Parks and Recreation department from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Festival t-shirts will be sold by the Queens of the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission. Glass is strictly forbidden, however, fans are welcome to bring ice chests, lawn chairs, and blankets. The event will be rescheduled at the Event Center Coliseum in the event of bad weather.

The City of Lake Charles is also excited to announce the winner of its Red, White, Blue & You logo design contest. Trinity Tieu, a student at SOWELA Technical Community College, was selected as this year’s winner.
