Ragin’ Cajuns Sun Belt Conference Championship Game Time Moved
It has been a dream season for the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns football team. They are 9-1 overall on the season and 7-1 in Sun Belt conference.
They won the Sun Belt West division, which has launched them into the Sun Belt conference championship game. The Cajuns are also ranked nationally at #17.
They are set to take on Coastal Carolina this Saturday in the championship game. Carolina is the winner of the East division of the Sun Belt, with an overall record of 11-0 and 8-0 in conference play, so they are undefeated. Their biggest win of the season was against then #13, BYU.
Carolina is ranked #13 in the Top 25 rankings and have already beaten the Ragin' Cajuns once this year in a close game 30-27. The Cajuns will be looking for some revenge in the championship game.
The game will be played at Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina, and the game is already sold out due to COVID-19 restrictions of how many fans can be in the stadium for the game.
The game time has been moved to 2:30pm, and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The winner of the game will automatically win the Sun Belt conference and will be sure to get an invite to a big bowl game. The loser will also definitely get a bowl invitation, but it wouldn't be as good of a bowl game as the one the winner will go to.
