What a story.

The Hammond Police Department recently shared a success story and we thought we'd share it with you.

The department recovered a stolen championship ring from eight years ago and they recently found it during a current investigation.

According to the police department's Facebook post, the ring belonged to Dreagen Bethel, a former SLU baseball player.

It was reportedly stolen eight years ago but came up when police conducted an investigation and they were able to return it to Bethel.

As you can see in the photo here, the former SLU player was very grateful for the department's discovery.

Here's the post from the Hammond Police Dept.
