Some of us will do anything to cool off during the summer months.

A story is trending on the internet that highlights a few hacks to staying cool while asleep this summer, and some of these hacks have me scratching my head.

For starters, some folks say that when sharing the bed with someone, you should have your own set of covers. This helps minimize the amount of body heat in the bed you're in.

Next, it is suggested that you leave your hair damp at night when you go to bed. After you shower, don't completely dry your head as it will get keep you cool when you go to sleep.

My only problem with that is if you sleep with a fan on you, this could cause you to have a cold the next days.

Now, let's talk about why some are putting their pajamas in the freezer!

To beat the heat this summer some are wrapping their pajamas and pillowcases up in plastic bags and putting them in the freezer. This is to stay cool while asleep, but I don't know how this will turn out.

I should note here that a colleague here at the radio station says she's done this and after 20 minutes in the freezer, this really helps you fall asleep while cool in bed.

One more summer hack to staying cool this summer while in bed is to NOT sleep nude. Keep your loose-fit clothing on as it will absorb sweat from your body at night.

We hope that some of these summer hacks help keep you cool as much of South Louisiana is heating up and there won't be any cooling down in the near future.

Stay safe out there this summer, and do whatever it takes to cool down while in bed.
