Otter Jumps on Someone’s Boat to Escape Killer Whale
This clip is nightmare fuel for every otter on planet Earth. You would think being an otter in Alaska would have its benefits. I'm sure it does, but it also means you may have to swim for your life with an orca whale on your tail.
A guy on the coast of Alaska filmed an intense video of a killer whale in hot pursuit of a very resourceful otter. When the poor little otter gets up to the boat, he jumps on the back step with only seconds to spare. You can see the orca swim by right after he's safely on the boat. Talk about being at the right place at the right time.
I would've been tripping if this was my boat. My thought process would've been this whale is either going to jump on or ram my boat to try and get this otter back into the water. Then, all of us will be swimming for our lives and I'm sure an otter can swim faster than me.
Anyway, in the video, you can see the orca continue to swim around the boat as it waits patiently for his snack to make a run for it.
Does the otter make it? Check out the video below to find out.
