A suspected murderer is "on the lam" with the FBI hot on his trail.

KPLC reports that authorities are working on information that the believed suspect, Efrain Castellanos, has left the country and is fleeing captivity in Honduras for the September hit and run murder of Calvin Joseph Reed in Oberlin, Louisiana.

The FBI is actively tracking Castellanos in Honduras to extradite him back to the U.S.

Allen Parish Sheriff Doug Hebert said they had received a tip of the vehicle that Castellanos was driving, they reviewed surveillance footage from the Valero gas station near the crime scene and noticed a blue suburban that Reed had passed by mere moments before the hit and run.  The vehicle in the footage matched the information given by the tipster.
