New Viral Trend Ruining Shopping At Texas TJ MAXX And Marshall’s Stores

Customers of TJ MAXX have begun to observe other customers in the store taking part in a recent viral trend that is driving up the costs of retail merchandise on social media.

Other bargain retailers, such as Marshall's, Home Goods, and even Goodwill stores, are also experiencing it.

On websites like YouTube and TikTok, videos of people reselling goods have grown extremely popular. The reselling game is currently being overtaken by a new viral trend.

These days, customers spend hours live streaming and reselling goods in bargain retailers.

As they move through the store, viewers on their live video will let them know what they want to purchase. Once they have added a "finders fee" and shipping to the item, the live broadcaster will send them a payment link.

A YouTuber named Kiki Chanel recently posted a video exposing this new viral trend. Some of the prices that these poor people are paying is down right crazy. In fact, I don't know if these people think they are getting a great deal on the item or if they are just participating in buying items because it's a new viral trend.

My wife and I have a reselling business, we sell on eBay and Amazon.  I have to admit this new viral trend intrigued me for a second, then I heard the prices these people were having to pay.

$26 for a coffee cup, pajama pants, etc; that is insane.  I have always had the mindset for my reselling business that I want to list my inventory at reasonable prices so it not only sells fast, but I want my customers to believe they got a great deal. So this just feels shady to me. I feel like it's preying on people who want to feel like they are participating in the viral trend and taking advantage of them.
