New Revised 2022 McNeese Cowboys Football Schedule
It's been a crazy two years for the Southland Conference, and today they had to release a revised version of the 2022 conference football schedule due to several teams returning to the Southland.
Lamar is leaving the WAC with one year left on their contract and was given an early release to return to the Southland. Another Texas university will be staying in the Southland as well, Incarnate Word (IWU) decided not to join the WAC last month.
The Southland Conference 2022 football schedule had already been made with the knowledge that Larmar would play out their final year in the WAC and return for the 2023 season and it was an almost foregone conclusion that IWU was headed to the WAC. However, both teams are back as full members of the Southland Conference, so they needed to be added to the conference's football schedules.

9/3 at Montana State Bobcats
9/10 at Rice Owls
9/17 vs Alcorn State Braves
9/24 vs Mississippi College Choctaws
10/1 at Incarnate Word Cardinals*
10/15 vs Texas A&M-Commerce Lions*
10/22 at Nicholls Colonels*
10/29 vs Southeastern La. Lions*
11/5 vs Eastern Illinois Panthers
11/12 at Houston Baptist Huskies*
11/19 vs Lamar Cardinals*
