New Movies This Weekend:

1.  "A Quiet Place"  (PG-13)

John Krasinski directed and stars in this horror thriller about an invasion where most of humanity has been wiped out by blind alien creatures that hunt by sound.  To survive, he and his family are forced to live in silence with a complex lighting system to help them communicate when they aren't close enough to use sign language.

2.  "Blockers"  (R)

A raunchy comedy starring John Cena, Leslie Mann, and Ike Barinholtz as parents desperately trying to stop their daughters from having sex after learning that the girls have a secret sex pact to lose their virginity on prom night.

3.  "The Miracle Season"  (PG)

Helen Hunt plays the coach of a high school volleyball team that loses their star player when the girl is killed in an accident.  It's based on a true story of how the rest of the team rallied and fought their way back to win the state championship in her honor.

4.  "Chappaquiddick"  (PG-13)

Jason Clarke is Ted Kennedy and Kate Mara is Mary Jo Kopechne, the woman who drowned in July of 1969 after he drove his car off a bridge.
