National Travel and Tourism Week Starts Next Week in Lake Charles

Visit Lake Charles wants to highlight the start of National Travel and Tourism Week, which starts May 3-9, by inviting people to celebrate virtually.

The community can take part in this by viewing our beautiful state and local landscape, destinations, and wildlife. A Spotify playlist will also be available for you to hear local music. They also want to encourage people to share their favorite pictures of Southwest Louisiana by using the hashtags #SpiritOfTravel and #LouisianaPlayground.

The community can also celebrate their roots and love of SWLA by uploading videos or messages to social media about what the spirit of travel means to you. Make sure to use the hashtags so everyone can see why we love this corner of The Boot.

On May 5, U.S. Travel is planning a #VirtualRoadTrip on Twitter. Louisiana will be showcased on this road trip at 2:00pm.
