The holiday season is fast approaching and we could use a little normalcy right about now. We all need something to take our minds off of hurricanes and the pandemic, and something to make us smile to get into the holiday spirit.

Well, good news as Moody Gardens in Galveston has announced Holiday In The Gardens is returning this year and gets started this weekend. This includes the very popular Festival of Lights display.

The Festival of Lights features two million lights on a one-mile walking track that will fascinate and delight all ages who see it. I have actually gone to the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens and let me tell you, it is pretty impressive and you can't help but leave in the holiday spirit.

Along with the lights, families can enjoy the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie that will be playing in the 4D theater. Also, enjoy other holiday 3D films along with the cool arctic slide, and you and the family can even take a train ride.

Another cool thing is the kiddos can even have breakfast with the one and only Santa Claus if you are staying in the hotel. The Festival of Lights will get started this Saturday, November 21 and will run through Saturday, January 2, 2021. The display will also be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Festival goers will have to adhere to safety protocols by wearing masks during their visits. For hotel and ticket information, log on to the Moody Gardens Website here. Go enjoy some fun and celebrate the holidays with a great getaway to Moody Gardens.  I highly recommend it.
