A music icon, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, is joining Mikey O this Friday to talk about teaming up with actor John Stamos and releasing a COVID-19 song benefiting food banks all across the country.

Michael Edward Love was born on March 15, 1941 in Los Angeles, California. The Beach Boys band began to take shape early in Love's life. He was cousins with eventual band mates Brian Wilson and his brothers Carl and Dennis. They began molding the Beach Boy sound at family get-togethers, especially at Christmas.

Here's the new benefit song Mike Love recorded, with occasional Beach Boy, John Stamos. It's called This Too Shall Pass, and all royalties will go to Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund, helping food banks across the country as they support communities impacted by the pandemic.

Jesse And The Rippers ain't got nothing on this. If you have the means, please go download this song on your preferred music platform and help support Feeding America and their shared mission of helping fill up food banks across the country to help those severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Mike Love has a long history of getting involved with charities, even helping Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. He personally donated $100,000 to the Red Cross and helped raise an additional $250,000 for hurricane recovery.
