Lafayette-based MidSouth Bank is expected to lay off 90 workers, that according to a notice on file with the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

The Acadiana Advocate reports that it isn't immediately known which cities the layoffs would occur.

MidSouth Bank will soon become Hancock Whitney as the latter will be closing an all-stock transaction of MidSouth worth $214 million sometime during the third quarter.

Hancock Whitney previously said they would be closing eight MidSouth Bank branches across the state and one in Texas. Most of those closures will be in Lafayette.
