Mercedes-Benz Name Is Being Removed From Superdome [VIDEO]

The name on the Superdome in New Orleans is coming down.

A video, which you can see below, shows work crews removing the name Mercedes-Benz from the Superdome.

The naming rights to the dome have expired for Mercedez-Benz and the letters are coming down quickly.

The German automaker had the naming rights to the dome for ten years but elected to not renew beyond. Instead, they have invested in the naming rights on the stadium in Atlanta.

According to WWL-TV., the Saints are expected to announce a new naming rights sponsor before the start of the upcoming football season.

Caesars Entertainment, Inc. has emerged in various reports as the next sponsor of the dome. However, we will have to wait and see if they go through with the investment.
