Yesterday, the McNeese athletic department announced the new coach for the McNeese football team, Gary Goff.  Goff takes over the helm from coach Frank Wilson who left the university for a job with Brian Kelly at LSU.

The Cowboys held a press conference yesterday to announce the new coach.  During the press conference, the McNeese Athletic department said one of the reasons Goff was chosen is because he is a proven winner. Goff recently completed a three-year, two-season stint at Valdosta State where he helped lead his team to this year's NCAA Division II National Championship game.
