
McNeese Softball Team Advances In Southland Conference Tournament
The McNeese State Cowgirls won a nail-bitter today in extra innings to advance to the next round of the Southland Conference Tournament.
The Cowboys beat Northwestern today by a score of 6-5 in the 8th inning.

The game was tied 5-5 in the 7th inning, which means extra innings. It didn't take the Cowgirls long to drive the nail in the coffin. Freshman first baseman, Crislyne Morneo, came up to bat and ripped the winning shot over the right fielder's head to bring in the winning run.
McNeese entered the Southland Conference as the number one seed finishing the regular season with a 36-19 record. They received a bye in the first round and now move on to the third round to face the winner of today's Houston Baptist vs Southeastern game.
