McNeese Men & Women’s Basketball Return To Burton For the ’20-’21 Season
We are excited to report that we will have live basketball back in Southwest Louisiana this year as the McNeese Men and Women's basketball teams are getting set to tip off another great season but at a different location.
Unfortunately, both teams will not be able to play in the H&HP complex this season due to damage to the complex from hurricanes Laura and Delta. All the damage by the two hurricanes to the complex is forcing both teams to head back to the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles to play out the 2020-2021 basketball seasons.
McNeese Basketball programs called the Burton Coliseum home for 32 years until moving into the H&HP complex in the 2018-2019 season. Both basketball teams are ex cited to not only play this season but that they have a home to play in.
With the COVID-19 outbreak, the seasons for the Cowboys and Cowgirls basketball squads were up in the air but they got the green light to play this season. Now the big question is when will the 2020-2021 basketball season begin and what about your season tickets or where to just get tickets to go to a game.
Matt Bonnette with McNeese athletic department advised us that the Cowboys and Cowgirls schedules will be released in the coming days and a special announcement about ticketing will follow.
So get ready Cowboy fans because in the near future we will have live college basketball action in Southwest Louisiana but remember this year all home games for the Men and Women's team will be played at the Burton Complex instead of the H&HP complex.
