McNeese Head Football Coach Goff Press Conference About Last Week’s Game
The McNeese Cowboys football team suffered a heartbreaking loss in week one against the Tarleton Texans. Watch Coach Goff talk about the game after he had time to break down the film.
The Pokes came into the game with high hopes last Saturday as a revamped team took the field lead by former JUCO offensive player of the year, Nate Glantz.
Glantz was running for his life on almost every single play. The Defense showed glimpses of being much improved in the first half, but then were just too tired to compete in the second half.
I know I, like many Cowboy fans, got caught up in the hopes that this season would be a turning point for the program, and it still could be later this season. However, the team really needs to focus on O-line play and coming out and maintaining their intensity during the game.
When I look at the Cowboys remaining schedule, I do see seven possible wins. Will that be good enough to make the playoffs, probably not, but it's an improvement from last year.
