The McNeese Athletic Department has announced a new concert series that will take place on the Friday nights before each of the Cowboys' home football games this season.

The block parties will cover all sorts of music from Country to Cajun to a variety of music by top-notch bands from the area.

There will be five home games this season for McNeese and those games will all be on Saturdays at noon so that is why the athletic department will have the block parties the night before the games.

The McNeese Block Party concerts will take place on Friday nights at the Robert Nolan grove located on the corner of East McNeese and Common Streets in Lake Charles and will run from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm and it's each concert is absolutely FREE to attend for all ages.

They will have food trucks out there each week for you to purchase food.  It is also BYOB so bring your own drinks and lawn chairs.
