It's an exciting time for McNeese football as they are getting prepared for the upcoming 2022 season with a new head coach under the helm.

In a great move, the McNeese Athletic Department hired a new head coach in the off-season. They acquired the services of Gary Goff.

Gary Goff came to McNeese with an impressive resume. Goff recently completed a three-year, two-season stint at Valdosta State where he helped lead his team to last year's NCAA Division II National Championship game.

Over the past three seasons, he has recorded a 31-6 record for a .861 winning percentage with his old teams. That mark over those three years ranks him 10th among all head coaches in Division I (FBS and FCS) and Division II,

How impressive is that? Now he is molding the young men in the McNeese football program for success too. That all starts with Spring practice and conditioning.  The Cowboys are currently in the middle of Spring training and they will be on the field for a few practices this week.
