Football is in the air and the McNeese Cowboys are getting Cowboy’s stadium ready for the first home game of the year.

The stadium already boasts a huge press box, beautiful artificial turf field and the brand new Jack Doland field house but now the Cowboys are cleaning up the stands for the fans.  Check out the before and after pictures.

Pressure-washing work continues on Cowboy Stadium and is expected to be concluded within two weeks.

Work began last week by Like New Exteriors, LLC to thoroughly clean the inside and underside of Cowboy Stadium by using sodium hypochlorite (12.6% bleach) with an additive that helps penetrate the concrete.  A pressure hose is followed to rinse the concrete.

The cost of the work is just under $50,000 and is being paid for by funds generated from the McNeese season ticket “Traditions Fund.”

“I am proud to say that the stadium will be cleaned with money collected  from the ‘Traditions Fund’,” said athletic director Tommy McClelland.  “Every season ticket holder will benefit from this
facility improvement. With the completion of the field house last season, the field turf added four years ago and now the cleaning of the stadium, we can honestly say that we have one of the nicest football venues in the entire country.
