We have waited a long time football fans, but it's finally here. The 2021 spring football season for the McNeese Cowboys is upon us and it gets started this Saturday evening.

The Pokes will travel to Tarleton State on Saturday, February 13 to start their spring campaign, and here are things you need to know if you're going to the game or staying home.

First, if you are traveling to the game, tickets are available through the Tarleton State website here. There are no tickets available through the McNeese ticket office for this game. There is only going to be a 50% capacity allowed for the game due to COVID-19 restrictions.

If you are going to the game and want to tailgate, you will have to purchase a spot the day of the game at the Texas Alley entrance. Tailgating spots are sold on a first-come, first served basis, and fans are only allowed one vehicle per tailgating space. If you are bringing your RV, tailgate spots are available but need to be reserved in advance.

If you are not going to travel to the game, there is good news for you. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Southwest Plus and FOX Sports Go starting at 6:00pm.

You can also listen to the game on our sister station, 92.9 The Lake, beginning with the pregame at 5:00pm.The first home game for the Pokes will be on Saturday, February 27 against Incarnate Word.
