Mardi Gras Alert — Motor Gras Parade Moved Because of Weather Forecast

While this weekend promises to be nice, the forecast for Mardi Gras day is not that great. As of right now, there is a 60% chance of rain during the day on Fat Tuesday, so there will be a change in the parade line-up.

In order to avoid holding a parade in a 60% chance of rain, the Motor Gras Parade is being moved to Sunday right after the Children's Parade. The Children's Parade rolls from the civic center down Ryan to Sale at 3:30 p.m. and the Motor Gras parade will roll right after the Children's parade.

Both parades will take the traditional route down Ryan Street.
