One of the only remaining Manson family members who participated in the horrific slayings of Sharon Tate and Rosemary and Leno LaBianca 50 years ago this August has been denied parole once again.

On Monday California Governor Gavin Newsom denied a request for parole from convicted murderer Leslie van Houten, who is now 69 years old. She was sentenced in 1971 for the murder of wealthy grocer Leno LaBianc and his wife Rosemary on August 9th, 1969. The night before, Manson family members murdered the actress Sharon Tate and 4 others at her home on Cielo Drive in Los Angeles.

She has appealed her sentence a total of 22 times, and the California Parole Board recommended her parole in January, but the Governor clearly overturned that decision yesterday.
