Attempted Kidnapping At Kenner Walmart
The Kenner, Louisiana Police Department is reporting the arrest of a man accused of the attempted kidnapping of two small children from a Walmart.
Billy Yoe Budier-Herrera of Metairie was charged with two counts of 2nd degree kidnapping of a child, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of illegal carrying of weapons, and disturbing the peace.
According to a Facebook post from KennerPolice, Budier-Herrera allegedly attempted to kidnap two small children from the Walmart located at 8912 Veterans Boulevard in Kenner. Police say he approached the mother of a two-year-old child and threatened the life of both her and her child if she did not follow his instructions.
Budier-Herrera is also accused of wielding a machete against store employees, as well as attempting to kidnap a second child as he fled the scene. Police say he was arrested while in possession of a 10-inch machete, a container of pepper spray, and a makeshift shiv fashioned from a plastic handle and razor blades.
Kenner Police Chief Michael J.
