Without a doubt, one of the best parts of being in radio is getting to be involved in this community, Heather and I were asked to be the Emcees for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Saturday morning in Sulphur and not only were we honored to do so, but we had a great time with all the walkers.

It's a serious event for a serious problem, but there is not shortage of fun or celebration in such an event as you can see from the picture of the Walmart walkers who all showed up in tutus.

One of the greatest parts of the event is the recognition of all the great breast cancer survivors. I have a personal connection with these brave folks because two people close to me are survivors. My niece, Ruthie Gray beat breast cancer and my friend, Mary Granger also went through that dreaded disease as well. Both those great ladies showed incredible bravery and strength and I have the utmost respect for the way they handled what is a very scary situation.

We will be back out next Saturday for the Ethel Precht Cancer Walk and we hope to see you there.
