LSU linebacker Devin White has been named the 2018 Butkus Award winner.

The award, named after legendary Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus, is awarded annually to the best linebacker in college football.

White is the first LSU Tiger to win the award.

On the season, White has procured 115 total tackle, 12.0 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries.

The junior from Springhill, Louisiana is a projected top 10 pick in most NFL mock drafts for 2019.
