Amid COVID-19 concerns, the LSU Tigers football team are expected to begin voluntary summer workouts today. The Tigers were supposed to start yesterday. However, they pushed the workouts back due to Tropical Storm Cristobal.

Last week, many of the athletes returned to campus and were tested for the coronavirus. Trainers will be conducting daily checks on the players by taking their temperature, asking them questions based on CDC guidelines, and isolating players if needed.

It seems like football will play a huge part in helping our country feel like things are getting back to normal. The Tigers kick off their season on September 5 against the University of Texas at San Antonio in Death Valley.

To celebrate the new LSU football season, it's a great time to get your purple and gold swag before the first snap.
