Louisiana Ticket Worth $1 Million In Latest Powerball Drawing

Saturday's drawing in the multi-state Powerball lottery game did not produce a big jackpot winner. But it did create an instant millionaire in Louisiana. Well, we are assuming that new millionaire resides in our state because a ticket sold for the June 22nd drawing matched the appropriate numbers to lay claim to a one million dollar prize.

The numbers drawn in last Saturday's (June 22) drawing were:

03 06 11 14 66 Powerball 21 Powerplay x2.

A ticket purchased at Charge Up 47 on Coursey Boulevard in Baton Rouge matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn. However, the ticket did not match the Powerball. That would have meant an even bigger payday for the ticket holder.

In the meantime, the Powerball jackpot continues to climb. Officials with Powerball estimate Wednesday's drawing will be worth $122 Million. Meanwhile in the Mega Millions game that jackpot continues to grow. On Tuesday night the jackpot for Mega Millions is estimated to be $60 million.

Oh and one more Mega Millions note, there was a $10,000 winner sold in Baton Rouge for Friday's (June 21) drawing. That ticket was purchased at Jeff's Food Mart on Jefferson Highway. The ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers drawn and the Mega Ball.
