
Planned Parenthood Shuts Down in Louisiana After 40 Years
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Planned Parenthood will close its two remaining clinics in Baton Rouge and New Orleans on September 30 and end all operations in Louisiana after more than 40 years of operation.
The closures come in the wake of ongoing legal, political, and financial pressure from lawmakers and Louisiana authorities on the issues of abortion access in the state.

According to a news release from Louisiana Right To Life, the two clinics, one on Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans and the other on Government Street in Baton Rouge. will permanently close.
Governor Jeff Landry called the news a "major win" and that continued the fight from when he was Louisiana attorney general to now as governor to rid the Bayou State of Planned Parenthood.
Abortion is banned, in nearly all cases, here in Louisiana. A new law now allows residents to sue out-of-state doctors who ship abortion drugs into Louisiana.

This is welcome news. Planned Parenthood built its business around promoting death. Louisiana choose life. We will always protect women and babies.
